Mythology

The tale of Creation

In the very beginning there was only chaos. Deep within that primal turbulence, wheree time itself still waited to be born, random sparks of energy arose, only to briefly flicker and vanish within the everlasting darkness.

Then two such sparks collided in the nothingness. A small light came forth which sputtered in that ethereal desert of nowhere, creating the sense of time and space.

From the energy of that light came a being, an elemental force of perfection - the First Spirit. It was at one with the light but not of it, made of it but not in thrall to it - on the contrary, the light was in thrall to the First Spirit...

Able to manipulate the light itself, the First Spirit shaped it into the very first world and it was then that Time itself was born. The First Spirit became the anchor of existence for the world, but was unable to bear the burden alone. It divided itself into two halves, since two individuals could shoulder the burden easier than one. Those two were the very first male and female; the Sentinels...

The Segregation

So it came to pass that the time for humans to walk the world dawned, that they might live within the limits of the boundaries created for them by the Sentinels, who had arisen from the Light...

At first, the humans helped their creators fend off the chaos and darkness, effectively they expanded the plane of spirit as far as it could possibly go. Once the new boundaries were established, the Sentinels entitled four of the most loyal humans to become Avatars, who had the privilege to entitle a certain number of THEIR most loyal subordinates to become their Angels...

The plane of spirit was divided thus...

"The First Ring" was in the very middle, a unique place where the Sentinels and the Avatars would reside, along with their Angels. "The Second Ring" was just around it, and only those who were deemed worthy were allowed to reside there...

The outer region was split into four sections (in respect for the four Avatars), each ring was less privileged as lower as they were. At the end of the 6th is the end of the world, and from that point on there is nothing but chaos and darkness. Some call it hell, others call it oblivion, while those most humble simply call it "The 7th ring"...

Eventually, the gap between the humans and the Sentinels grew larger, since the humans constantly evolved and the Sentinels did not. There was a revolt and the Sentinels were overthrown, the four Avatars killed them and took over, becoming the new anchors of the worlds...
